2″ polypropylene tees at BARR Plastics. Ideal for a wide array of applications, including agricultural systems, industrial piping, and garden irrigation, these tees ensure strong, leak-proof connections. Perfect for any project requiring high-quality, chemical-resistant fittings, our tees are essential for efficient water distribution and fluid control.

Product Introduction

The Barr Plastics 2″ Threaded Polypropylene Tee (model 62190) is a durable, chemical-resistant pipe fitting designed to join three sections of pipe and change flow direction. Built from high-grade polypropylene with NPT threads, this 2-inch threaded tee delivers a secure, leak-resistant connection for plumbing, irrigation, chemical processing, and industrial fluid systems. Simple to install with basic toolsuse Teflon tape or pipe dope on the threads for a watertight seal.

Features & Specifications

• Material: High-strength polypropylene for excellent chemical and corrosion resistance.
• Thread Type: NPT (National Pipe Thread) for secure threaded connections.
• Nominal Size: 2″ (two-inch) fitting for medium flow applications.
• Configuration: Three-way tee one inlet and two outlets (or vice versa) for flow distribution or direction change.
• Temperature Resistance: Serviceable up to approximately 200F (93C).
• Lightweight and impact-resistant for easier handling and installation than metal alternatives.
• Safe for potable water and commonly used in food and beverage processing when compatible with system conditions.
• Low maintenance resists corrosion, scaling, and chemical degradation.

Benefits & Applications

This 2″ threaded polypropylene tee solves common piping challenges by providing a reliable, low-cost alternative to metal fittings. Its chemical resistance reduces corrosion and maintenance costs in aggressive environments. The lightweight design speeds up installation and lowers labor effort on site. Typical applications include residential and commercial plumbing, irrigation systems, aquaculture, industrial water treatment, chemical processing, and food processing lines. For example, using polypropylene tees in chemical feed lines helps prevent metal corrosion and extends system life, reducing downtime and replacement expense.

Installation & Maintenance

Install with standard NPT tightening procedures. Apply Teflon tape or pipe dope to threaded connections for pressure systems. Inspect threaded joints periodically, especially in high-flow or chemically aggressive systems, and replace if any wear or leakage appears.
